History: Çeşme is a district located on a peninsula of the same name in the west of İzmir. It is one of the twelve Ionian colonies in history.

Geography: Çeşme is a peninsula surrounded by the sea on three sides. It is bordered by Urla district to the east, the Aegean Sea to the north, west and south. The Sakız Strait is located between Sakız Island to the west.
